Lilly has been such a trooper throughout our stay in the hospital and all of our trips and visits to see her baby sisters! She looks at the pictures of the babies with love and she is ready to see them in person and "play" with them!
Maci has been making progress really quickly! She started at 4 lbs 4 oz and today she weighs 4 lbs 11 oz. She is eating 39 mL of breast milk every 3 hrs, alternating between the bottle and tube feeding. No more IV nutrients. She is being weened off of the nasal cannula, and will hopefully be free of it this evening or tomorrow. She got to start wearing clothes this week and she moved into an open bed out of the heated isolet.
Mary being so small has slowly began feedings of breast milk this past week, and since that started she is much happier and making progress everyday! She started at 1 lb 14 oz and today she weighs 2 lbs 6 oz. I can tell that she has grown and is starting to fill out. This week she was changed from the CPAP to nasal cannula and she likes it much better! We had a little scare early in the week that she might have to have surgery. Her PDA ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patent_ductus_arteriosus ) was measuring large after being treated with medicine (indomethacin.) They did an echo Monday afternoon and the report came back moderate. We are still watching it but we are hopeful that it will close on it's own without surgery. She will have another echo tomorrow. Today I (Andi) got to hold both girls together for the first time!! It was awesome to see them snuggle!! I can't wait to hold all three of my sweet girls together!!

But I have a child and eventually I convinced myself to live for my child’s sake.
My mother knew nothing [about HIV]. She didn’t understand anything. Do you know why? She didn’t have [the chance] to go out of the house and communicate with society. However, my father does interact with the community. I know his friends are mature and dignified in africa america. So he has a better understanding than her.
