Catching up...

Monday, Mary had a blood transfusion, which is normal for a baby as small as her. She is feeling better and continuing to improve every day! She had an echo and there was no change with her PDA. We will just continue to monitor it. Her feedings are 4 mL every 3 hrs and she is tolerating them. Her Dr. was excited because her chest x-ray looks better today. Her weight today is 2 lbs 7 oz. I haven't gotten to hold her for a couple of days because she has been breathing rapid and needs her rest but today we held hands for a long time and she was very calm!

Maci was weened off of the oxygen, Monday and she is enjoying her freedom! She was wearing herself out taking a bottle every other feeding so they have decreased it to 2 bottles and 1 time nursing and all other feedings are through her tube. Her weight today is 4 lbs 11 oz. She had lost some because it takes a lot of energy, being in the open crib, to maintain her body temp and with bottle feeding. Her Daddo got to hold her for the first time yesterday! She loved it and made a lot of faces at him!

Miss Lilly is into everything, as most 2-1/2 year olds! She's is such a big helper! Tonight she helped Daddo in the garden and also helped cook dinner. I'm sure that when her baby sisters come home she will help take care of them!!

  1. Wow!! I love the pics! Mary looks so tiny in the last picture. I can't believe the resemblance between Maci & Lilly. Thanks for the updates!
